Handyman OrSpecialist?
A practical way to figure out which one your project actually needs.
It’s not always obvious where the line is. A loose door hinge is clearly handyman territory; a full panel upgrade is clearly not. Most real projects fall somewhere in between, and picking wrong just means an extra call and a delay.
Good Fit For A Handyman
When You Need A Specialist
Work requiring a specific trade license — electrical panel work, gas line work, major plumbing — needs a licensed specialist regardless of how small it seems. The same goes for anything structural, or a project large enough that it’s really a remodel rather than a repair. If your list of small items keeps growing into something bigger, that’s usually the sign it’s time to talk through a larger scope instead of another one-off repair.
When In Doubt, Ask
You don’t have to sort this out yourself. Send us your project list and a few photos through our handyman services page, and we’ll tell you honestly if it’s something we can handle directly or if it needs a different kind of trade — and coordinate that trade as part of the job when it’s work we’re already doing for you.
