Pressure Washing vs. Power Washing vs. Soft Washing
Customers often use \u201cpressure washing\u201d and \u201cpower washing\u201d to mean the same thing, and in everyday conversation, they usually do. Technically, power washing can refer specifically to washing with heated water, while pressure washing refers more generally to cleaning with pressurized water. Soft washing is a different approach we also offer \u2014 lower pressure, sometimes paired with an appropriate cleaning solution, used for more sensitive surfaces or organic buildup that does not respond well to higher pressure.
The point is not which term you use when you call us \u2014 it is that the correct method depends on the surface in front of us and what has actually built up on it. Higher pressure is not automatically more effective, and it is not automatically safer.

Depending on the project, that can include concrete, pavers, brick, stone, siding, and stucco, along with decks, fences, retaining walls, and exterior stairs. Not every surface should be cleaned the same way. Before cleaning begins, the surface should be evaluated for damage, loose coatings, open joints, cracks, and other conditions that may affect the cleaning method. Cleaning does not repair cracks, failing paint, damaged siding, deteriorated wood, or other existing material problems.

Preparing for Pressure Washing
Depending on the project, we may ask you to move vehicles, remove lightweight outdoor furniture, secure windows and doors, and point out any sensitive plants nearby. Keeping pets and other occupants away from the work area is generally a good idea. Whether a water source needs to be provided on-site is something we will confirm as part of scoping your project.
What Affects Pressure-Washing Pricing?
Cost depends on square footage, surface material, current condition, and how much buildup or staining is present. Accessibility, height, setup requirements, water availability, and drainage all factor in, along with landscaping protection and travel distance. Scheduling and how long a project takes depend on the size of the job, the surfaces involved, access, and the weather. Some methods need dry conditions and surfaces need time to dry afterward. We do not promise same-day turnaround or a fixed duration up front.
Surface Condition and Realistic Results
Pressure washing removes surface buildup, but it is not a fix for what is already wrong with a surface. Fading, oxidation, etching, cracks, damaged siding, failing paint, and deteriorated wood do not reverse with cleaning. Some staining may remain even after cleaning, particularly with oil, rust, or long-standing discoloration.
